Our Plan of Action

At the dawn of the 21st Century, We the People of Earth demand economic justice, universal human rights, planetary sustainability, and a binding judicial system to resolve international conflicts — the goals of good people everywhere who seek a healthy and holistic world democracy.
However, economic globalization has fueled corporate greed, global warming, extinction of species, and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Political and military conflicts are raging in many parts of the world. Global peacekeeping institutions such as the United Nations are weaker than ever before.
How can we transition from the fragmented world we see today to the Earth Federation we envision for tomorrow? Together with WCPA, the Earth Constitution Institute has a specific plan of action based directly on the Earth Constitution. We invite you to study it, embrace the vision, and join us!
Step One: Online Voting Districts
The Earth Constitution is a brilliantly crafted document that provides for the future we seek – a world that works for everyone. During the first stage of our mission, the World Constitution and Parliament Association (WCPA) has defined the 1,000 World Electoral Districts called for by the Earth Constitution, with secure on-line voting, and are establishing a Global Virtual Assembly. If you consider yourself a World Citizen or an advocate of world peace, we invite you to become a registered “Global Citizen” with secure, on-line voting privileges.
Step Two: Elect the World Parliament
Once the World Districts are populated with a credible number of registered voters, we will conduct elections for the World Parliament, using a highly secure, unique digital identity and voting system. Representatives will deliberate and vote on proposed world legislation, showcasing the possibilities of 21st Century technology combined with global democratic values. In this way, we are building a large-scale movement to transform the way important decisions are made at the global level — to include the voices of the people themselves. Step Three: Ratification of the Earth Constitution
Together, we are actualizing a strategic plan for ratification of the Earth Constitution by the peoples and nations of the world, so that the democratic laws of the Earth Federation government become binding instead of provisional. This most challenging phase of our mission can be accomplished if enough people decide to participate in the Global Virtual Assembly and World Parliament. Then the institutions established under the Earth Constitution will gain broad democratic legitimacy as representing the collective voice of the citizens of planet Earth.
